How we conduct Market Intelligence

We conduct Market intelligence in a number of different ways:

Private market intelligence and benchmarking

A client commissions us to perform a study for their own internal purposes. The client has full control over the topics to be covered and the choice of the benchmark group, although these are often a joint decision by the client and InteDelta. The final report is private to the client and is not normally intended for further publication.

A market intelligence study is often combined with a benchmarking review of the client’s own policies, methodologies or systems in which we make recommendations as to what the client needs to do to bring itself into line with best market practice.

Syndicated market intelligence

Risk management and quantitative finance are constantly changing disciplines and there are always a number of hot topics.  Where we believe a topic may be of interest to multiple clients we conduct market intelligence on a syndicated basis.

Forthcoming syndicated market intelligence topics

There are a number of different levels of participating in syndicated market intelligence:

  • Blue – participants are invited by InteDelta to take part in research free of charge.  The participant receives a free summary report and a feedback from an InteDelta consultant on how their responses compared to the benchmark group
  • Silver – participants receive a detailed report on answers provided by the benchmark group and detailed feedback on their answers versus the benchmark group. Subject to availability, silver participants are able to request that specific questions are added to the questionnaire and ask that specific other institutions be invited into the benchmark group
  • Gold – participants receive the benefits of silver participation but additionally have a major say in the selection of the questions and benchmark group, in conjunction with InteDelta. Each study is limited to one gold participant

Sponsored market intelligence

We conduct a study in the same way as private market intelligence but the client wishes to put the piece of research in the public domain to help support their own products or services. The report may be branded in the client’s own name or as an InteDelta report sponsored by the client. We can also assist in the distribution of the report to our large database of relevant contacts.

Our methodology and code of confidentiality

However a client or participant engages in a market intelligence study, it will be conducted to the same rigorous methodology and confidentiality standards.
