Counterparty Risk Benchmarking from InteDelta

The Counterparty Risk Management Policy Group, co-chaired by Gerald Corrigan of Goldman Sachs and Douglas Flint of HSBC recently issued a report “Containing Systemic Risk: The Road to Reform” in light of the turmoil in the financial markets. The report contains wide ranging recommendations aimed at individual institutions and the wider market environment in regards to counterparty risk best practice. Click here to view the report.

Recommendations made in the report aimed at individual institutions include:

  • Improvements to the framework for the calculation of potential future exposure
  • Better incorporation of liquidity in risk measures
  • The need to identify and aggregate second order risks

THE CRMPG is a highly influential group and a thought leader in counterparty risk management policies and methodologies. Many financial institutions are keen to ensure that they are in compliance with these most recent recommendations, or at least know what they need to do to be compliant. In light of this InteDelta has launched a benchmarking review to assess an institutions compliance.

Our counterparty risk benchmarking review will assess your institution’s compliance with the CRMPG’s recommendations and highlight areas for improvement. This will include all relevant areas such as governance, risk measurement, systems, trading practices and risk policies. You can choose to be benchmarked against the full scope of the report or just selected areas.
